Manufacturing Flow of Architectural Woven Metal Mesh
Wondering how decorative metal mesh is produced, just like cloth woven on textile looms? The attached video records the complete weaving process of pre-crimped metal wires by automatic and hand-operated looms.
To begin with, the crimping equipment bends vertical warp wires and horizontal weft wires into fixed wavy shapes of different lengths. All warp wires are threaded one by one through the loom’s heddle components. The lifting rack moves up and down to form weaving gaps, through which weft wires can be inserted manually or by machinery. After weft wires cross through gaps, the loom reed presses wefts firmly against the curved warp sections. The lifting rack keeps moving back and forth to form the regular interlaced up-and-down mesh structure.
